Forging the Darksword

As usual for Weis and Hickman’s post-“Legends” output, characterization is the weakest part of the novel. This one reminds me of their other books, which just made me content. Weis and Hickman largely ignore this development in this novel, but it seems likely to drive the action in later novels. Saryon’s theory proved to be correct. Unfortunately, this dark, foreboding entry into the Dark Sword Series by the generally bankable duo Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman really disappointed.
