I received this from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. The concept of the story being a fully dominated science fiction story came to be very novel in its approach.
Dec 06, Valerie rated it it was amazing. Her practically catatonic state throughout the book feels a bit like “fridging,” in the sense that she seems to exist solely to give Jimmy a reason to be earrik towards the technology and provide more emotional thrust when the action gets going.
But talked about twice. The author managed to write the characters in a way that not only showed their traits through dialogue, but also through their actions. Over-reliance on technology is certainly not a foreign concept to us even in the real world, but Jimmy exists in a world where laws needed to be passed so that chips were manufactured to forcibly log people off so beanj they would feed themselves in the real world.
